I read all of these great reviews and I was impressed so I gave their office a call. I had a free consultation with Andrew. I explained the issues that were relevant after which Andrew said "I won't take your case" and abruptly hung up. While I can't comment about his professional prowess, the reviews seem to do a good job of that, but based on the conduct that I just described, needless to say, not professional at all, I would suggest that potential clients consider my comments and think twice before signing up with him. We initially were advised by another law firm to file 7 Bankruptcy, but 5 months after starting the process were told that our assets were too high that we would have to file for chapter 11 and would have use another lawyer. When we contacted Balbus we were advised that Connecticut had increased the homestead exemption last year and that we would qualify for chapter 7 based the information provided.
