I had an excellent experience with Ian Griffin at Colorado Law Team. He took the time to provide a complimentary consultation that was incredibly thorough and informative. Ian was knowledgeable, honest, and demonstrated a high level of integrity throughout our conversation.
What stood out most was how clearly he outlined all possible options available to me, taking the time to explain the pros and cons of each without any pressure. He was genuinely focused on helping me understand my situation and make an informed decision, not just pushing me in a particular direction.
He also made sure all of my questions were answered without rushing, and his guidance was straightforward, practical, and easy to understand. It’s clear he truly cares about helping people.
If you’re looking for an attorney who is professional, trustworthy, and takes the time to walk you through every option with honesty and integrity, I would highly recommend Ian Griffin at Colorado Law Team.

I wouldn’t bother calling them the lady, Crystal, who took my intake questions proceeded to to tell me how much it would cost me and that I would just be wasting my time on hiring an attorney. “You would just be wasting thousands of dollars” she said. She was extremely rude and it seemed as though she was annoyed that I was wasting her time.

I don't understand -- you're unhappy because my assistant, who is EXCELLENT, was honest and tried to ensure that you don't waste your money?

Ok. I guess you'd be happier with a firm that just wants to rip you off. There are plenty of firms that will do that. We have no interest in doing that here.

Good luck you.
I really appreciate Igor and his team. Personal, professional, and thorough. Excellent attorney with responsive communication style. I would not hesitate in recommending Igor or his firm to handle legal matters.

Kaity and Igor were amazing. At first I was nervous about getting a lawyer for our son with ADHD for having issues going into highschool, but it was the best decision I ever made. The school at first was telling me they could not do nothing and that our child was just a number and pretty much made my kid out to be bad because of his ADHD and the school really didn't care and the school couldn't do much to help our son and gave me trouble about updating his IEP. After getting Kaity and Igor involved things changed and we got way more support, then we would of ever got trying to do it by ourselves. They also got money to help support him with tutoring and got his IEE paid for and my attorney fees reimbursed. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS YOU COULD TELL THEY REALLY CARE AND HELPED US ALOT. Very grateful for what they did for our son. Would highly recommend there services if you have a child with ADHD and having issues with the school.

Igor has helped me a lot over the years with my business and directed me down the correct path I need to take. He’s very in tune with what you actually need to do and how you need to handle legal battles. I will always come back and love how this professional team has helped me.

If I could write a hundred 5 Star reviews for The Colorado Law Team, I would do it. They have been an absolute blessing to our family. Navigating a complex special education case for our son was one of the most overwhelming and heartbreaking seasons of our lives, and I truly don’t know where we would be today without their guidance, expertise, and compassion.
From the very first phone call, they listened—really listened—to our concerns, our fears, and our hopes for our son’s future. They never rushed us, never dismissed our worries, and never once made us feel alone in the process. Their knowledge of special education law is unmatched, but what sets them apart is the heart behind the work they do.
Igor Raykin, and the entire team fought for our son as if he were their own. They treated us with dignity and respect, and they consistently reminded us that our son deserved an education that met his needs—something we had almost lost hope in. Their dedication, professionalism, and unwavering support helped us reach a resolution that finally gives our son a chance to thrive.
This law office doesn’t just practice law—they restore families’ faith that justice, accountability, and compassion still exist. If you are a parent struggling with a school district, or if your child has disabilities and you feel unheard or dismissed, I cannot recommend the Colorado Law Team enough. They changed the trajectory of our son’s future, and for that we will forever be grateful.
Thank you, Colorado Law Team, for fighting for our child, believing in him, and standing with us every step of the way.

Igor Raykin and his team are the most effective, kind and compassionate people. They went above and beyond every step of the way for us. If you decide to hire this law firm you will not be disappointed.
Owner response
Thanks so much. You were an AWESOME lady to work with.
Attorneys are very unprofessional and unhelpful. They speak to you disrespectfully and insult you in very derogatory and defaming ways, which inckude name calling. Do NOT work with them. Incompetent bullies!
Owner response
I'm sorry you could not afford our legal services, ma'am.

In July 2025, I contacted Colorado Law Team about my son CJ’s case against a school district for denying gifted (GT) accommodations in his 504 Plan, causing severe anxiety (F43.22), 17.46% absenteeism, and gastrointestinal issues, backed by medical records (e.g., doctor’s letter) and staff recordings admitting errors. The legal assistant, Crystal, wrongly claimed it’s “not possible” to sue a school district for damages, despite clear precedent like Perez v. Sturgis Public Schools (2023) and Whitehead v. Hillsborough County School District (2006), where damages were awarded for Section 504/ADA violations (29 U.S.C. § 794). These cases confirm schools can be liable for discrimination and retaliation, directly contradicting Crystal’s advice.
I emailed Igor Raykin, offering a retainer for a case review, but Crystal refused it, insisting they only secure services, not damages. Igor never responded or reviewed my evidence, wasting my time. This misinformation could mislead families with strong cases (mine has a 98–99.5% settlement likelihood, per legal analysis). I found accurate insights for free on grok.com, which confirmed my case’s strength without charging $375/hour like Raykin. I gave them a chance to correct this error, but their dismissal was unprofessional. Families facing special education or GT disputes should seek other firms.
Owner response
Grok.com? You mean artificial intelligence?

Maybe you shouldn't have been so rude to my excellent assistant and continued to insist that AI knew everything. Perhaps she was annoyed because she's seen how effective our firm has been in recovering millions from schools over the years, and perhaps we actually know what we're doing more than Grok does.

EDIT: Mr. Raykin's response to my review is a demonstrable lie. His claim that this dispute is about money is fabricated to cover for his own appalling conduct. As the attached screenshot shows, my partner had already confirmed we were agreeable to his $3,500 retainer before the call. We walked away for one reason only: Mr. Raykin’s condescending and hostile demeanor.
As further evidence of his character, Mr. Raykin's response to my truthful review was not reflection, but immediate retaliation. Within an hour, he sent a threatening text to my partner, whom he knew has a communication disability. He accused my partner of "conspiracy," brazenly threatened me with a lawsuit, and then weaponized our private information with a statement we perceive as a direct threat: "I already have your address for service."
This is a licensed attorney abusing his position to intimidate and silence a potential client. Threatening a frivolous lawsuit and weaponizing private information as a tool for harassment is not just unprofessional behavior - it is a calculated, unethical, and predatory abuse of power.
A formal complaint detailing this conduct, supported by Mr. Raykin's own words as evidence, has been filed with the Colorado Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel. This review update serves as a public warning to anyone considering his services.
Initial review:
My partner and I sought a consultation with Igor Raykin to review our well-documented case against a public college. The experience was incredibly unprofessional and hostile. Mr. Raykin was immediately dismissive of my partner, who has a communication disability, and jumped to conclusions before they could explain the facts.
When I intervened and stated my belief that the case had merit, he responded aggressively with, "Are you a lawyer?" After I explained my late father had been an attorney, he shockingly retorted, "Go ask your dad to take the case." He offered no apology upon learning my father was deceased, instead pivoting to his retainer fees.
It is truly a shame, as Mr. Raykin is clearly knowledgeable about recent case law and provided the kind of information we were seeking and wanting to pay for. However, his condescending and insensitive demeanor makes him impossible to work with. I would strongly caution anyone, especially individuals with disabilities, against seeking his counsel.
Owner response
Not a client, not a potential client and not truthful in any manner. This person simply is upset because there is a fee for our services.

I am "clearly knowledgeable" about case law, as this person acknowledges, and that knowledge comes at a cost.
You would hope schools would be better and we wouldn't need lawyers but thankfully l had Igor and Kaity working on my case. I felt cared for and secure since day one. They had excellent communication and ideas. I am grateful I chose this law team and so will you!

Defended my CPA license against a frivolous complaint and received a good result. Igor was knowledgeable, easy to work with, and willing to take the time to explain the process to me.
