Family Law Matters, my family and i appreciate everyone we have encountered at this law firm. And are blessed to have professional strong team in our corner. Child custody came with heartaches, stress, high conflicts, questions, tears, confusion etc.. Charlene, Kristie, Brittani and Beshoy personally have handled my case with respect, understanding, compassion, sensitivity, allowing for full self expression. We are beyond grateful for attorney Kristie Bergamo, she is a force to be reckoned with..She keeps it real no bs always incuded us every step. She set the atmosphere in the court room. After hours during hours answering service, best team work! are kind, respectful detailed and efficacy. Worth every penny!! Hands down. May God continue to favor and bless every one in this law firm Thank you! For putting up with not only me but with the other party involved i appreciate all the overtime and details you put in my case.
Great and wonderful staff, have been excellent with helping me out with my divorce. Highly recommended!

I do not ever write reviews but I strongly feel like I need to share my experience with this firm to warn others. I retained Family Law Matters in March 2020 for a Domestic Violence Restraining Order including custody (This was right before the COVID pandemic struck and the courts shut down). I paid a one-time retention fee and agreed to a monthly membership fee, which I was told included unlimited attorney/ paralegal access with phone calls/ emails. My hearing date was set for 3/27 and I anticipated all-in-all I'd be paying around $4,200.00. While Family Law Matters claims to be understanding of the economic hardships COVID has impacted on people, they will gladly take every penny they can get from you without any negotiation. With that being said, my court date ended up getting extended 4 times due to the COVID court closures (3/27, 4/30, 7/7 & 8/4). I ended up having to pay an additional $4,200.00 just in monthly membership fees, at no fault of my own, due to the court closures and they refused to negotiate any type of relief option. They tried justifying this by sending me an itemized statement showing how much I would've owed had I been charged hourly. This totaled nearly $10,000.00 (mainly phone calls and emails, which was covered under my monthly membership fee!). I strongly feel they used COVID to their advantage and continued charging these fees while waiting for the courts to reopen. This is unethical and immoral - Especially for a firm that boasts about their Christian beliefs. Additionally, my paralegal, Charlene, was always extremely rude and always seemed very bothered every time I would reach out. Yes, I certainly had a lot of questions as I had just left a very abusive relationship with my child's father. I relied heavily on their professional opinion and I was made to feel like a burden. Finally, I was able to complete my hearing on 8/4 and I was told a judgment would need to be filed with the courts and we'd be done! Well come 9/4/20, I get an email receipt for another monthly installment! The judgment was not filed with the court until 8/24 and now I have the option to either file a substitution of attorney, self-represent and hope and pray the judgment was filed correctly OR continue to pay these monthly installments until the court finalizes it. All in all, I am extremely disappointed with this firm's moral and ethical standards, especially Beshoy who tried to justify it.

Divorce itself is hard enough. It is nice to have things simplified and straight forward. Family Law Matters made the process easy to understand and had a very reasonable approach to billing. One less thing or worry about.

Wow. My ex wanted a divorce to be with her felon boyfriend and I was very afraid of the legal system since I know many men who had been run through the ringer in our legal system. Family law matters really protected me and restored my faith in the legal system. Wow My ex pays me child support and alimony, the system is fair and family law matters protected me from all attacks, for example restraining order attempt and trying to get me supervised visitation of my son (I won). Cassandra was so awesome and so was my attorney Colleen. Colleen (very very pretty) she was very kind and compassionate through my divorce and I could tell she identified and felt my hurt and pain, Divorce was very painful and would recommend family law matters to anyone needing their services . I would advise any man to retain a woman attorney to protect their rights. Although divorce was the most painful experience I have ever experienced but Colleen and Cassandra really helped to move the process forward and I never felt they over charged for their services. Thank you family law matters Cassandra and Colleen. Doug E
