Nick helped my wife and me with our wills and trusts, helped us setup an LLC and a few other family law legal matters. We recently moved out of state and we have gone through a rough spot. My S/O called Nick for advice on how to protect herself. Even though he represented both of us and isn't supposed to give legal advice to one of us that could hurt the other my understanding, or what I am being told, is that he did advise, give her legal advice, which I believe is unethical. I do not have 100% proof this happened. I am going by what my S/O told me and I am also suspicious because I feel I was misled by Nick's paralegal and, it doesn't seem like Nick gave me the whole truth when I asked him directly, if what I am being told by my S/O is true. I am in one of those situations where my trust in Nick, and his paralegal, is gone and I would never use him again. I fully understand that I may not be 100% in the right here but I also do not think I am anywhere close to 100% wrong.

My ex-wife and I hired George for divorce mediation. My ex wasn't knowledgable about asset division with a divorce and had a lot of expectations that weren't really accurate. George was able to educate her, keep her calm, and keep her in mediation until she signed. I wasn't very confident she would sign after 10 months of separation. George did it. He's very patient, he listens, he has a very kind disposition that is perfect for mediation. This mediation lasted 7 hours and he was 100% with us the whole time. After mediation, paperwork has to be filed and signed. He and his staff were on top of all of it and were incredibly responsive to our questions. I had so much anxiety going into this process. George and his staff really took care of me and I can't recommend them enough.
2020 Update: Sue reached out to me at the end of 2020 to request that I connect with her on two different professional social media sites. Clearly she didn't really believe the negative comment (see below) she made long ago.
Prior reply: The client, "Sue," has not told the truth at all. It is sad that such a good client has resorted to this emotional retaliation after I got her such a good result in court. This client hired me on an emergency basis, and asked me to handle a case set for a major hearing in less than two days, and which had been filed against her by her ex-husband seeking FULL custody of her only son, seeking to force the child to change schools, and seeking to strip the mother of her rights to make decisions about education. Other lawyers fired her as a client because she is difficult to deal with. The issues were complex, and she was told that it would require a large retainer because I had to set aside OTHER clients' cases and prepare solely for her court battle in less than a day and a half. I told her that my rate is very expensive, and she agreed, as she had waited until the last minute to hire me. Her prior lawyer did not get along with her and quit. I did not. Not only did we communicate, we did nothing but talk and work on her case the entire day before the hearing, which was the only day we had. She sent dozens of pages of documents to review, papers from the prior lawyer, case history, and we met for several hours to prepare, all the day before. We went to the courthouse for 4 hours the following day and the client KEPT custody, KEPT the child in the same school, KEPT all decision-making rights, and got everything she asked for. During the hearing, she completely broke down in the court hallway, crying and screaming in a rage because of what her ex claimed. I worked very hard to calm her down and did indeed say several times "I need you to listen to me and stop talking! I'm on YOUR side!" When it was over, she cried and hugged me and THANKED me for taking her case and "taking care of me and my son." She apologized for her outbursts and said "I'm really not a 'tiger-mom.'" A few days later she came to my office to bring me a GIFT from her and her son as a thank you. The case was not yet over, but after winning, she decided she wanted to counter-sue and take away some of the father's rights. Immediately after that, she lost a lease and was going to be forced to take her son to a different school, all unrelated to the case. However, it complicated her position, and while I was still dealing with the other issues in her case, she wanted to "ramp up" the fight against her ex. She demanded a second temporary hearing and asked for a restraining order against him. Since she and I had such success in court, she wanted to punish her ex-husband and expand the fight. I told her that her funds were depleted as I had already spent over 15 hours on her emergency case, and she got angry. She stated "I thought we could do it all for the initial retainer," despite having been told several times that was not the case. I explained a huge war with the other side will be expensive. She angrily said that was "fine" and that she would sign an order allowing my withdrawal. When we tried to reach her to get her signature, she refused all of our calls, which required me to go back to court at my own time and expense. She waited until THE DAY OF the withdrawal hearing to then attack me on this site in retaliation, and despite having profusely thanked me for all that I did for her and her son. Her review was written solely out of spite and anger. I spent more than 15 hours between July 9, 2014 and October 6, 2014, and got her everything she asked for, and defeated ALL of her ex-husband's claims. It is notable that she has had appr. 10 lawyers before me. This anger and disagreeableness is a pattern with this client. If you want to hire an attorney selected to the top 100 in North Texas, it will be expensive, but you will get great results. But, some clients will never be satisfied. I wish her the best.
George has served as mediator in several of my clients cases. Without exception, he has done a masterful job. His hard work has resulted in resolutions in cases that I did not think could be resolved. He is bright, professional and responsive. I have mediated hundreds of cases and George is one of best around.
I hired George Crumley to help me with my annulment case. He is very Professional, Knowledgeable and above all really Caring and Trustworthy. He has been so incredibly helpful to me and genuinely cared about my annulment case. He quickly filed my case and did a wonderful job representing me in front of the Judge. He got me annulment within 24 days. He makes you feel confident that everything will happen in your Interest. Highly recommend.
George is very responsive and did a great job handling a case we thought no one would want to handle. My mother has been dealing with issues on property with a neighbor for more than ten years. He was so quick at handling the situation and really put my mother at ease. He is great to have in your corner and we couldn't have asked for a better attorney to handle our case.
