I am 20+ year veteran social worker in the field of protective services. I have worked with many family law firms in that time. I have never observed such unprofessional behavior as I have observed from this firm’s secretary. I’ve been party to two phone calls between the client and the secretary. The client was merely calling for case status update and clarification on paperwork, respectively. The secretary was immediately condescending and dismissive to the client. She would not allow the client to explain her confusion or concerns during either call. At one point she even told the client she needed to get a backbone and stop calling the firm about the concerns. She literally spoke to her as though she was a child. During the last phone call, the client was trying to ascertain some kind of proof from the court that the temporary restraining order had been dismissed to provide to the client’s child’s school, as the school has stated they need the proof to allow the client on campus. The secretary talked over the client stating nothing was needed as it was a temporary order. When I tried to explain to the client that they still need something showing the final outcome of the court proceedings, the secretary began to speak at me rudely and hung up on the client. She was so condescending and rude, did not try to be helpful at all and I’m just bewildered by the behavior. Do not recommend.
