I asked Jorge to be the associate judge in my family court based on the excellent impression he made on a case we had against each other years (and years) before. After he accepted the role, Jorge immediately validated the wisdom of my decision by demonstrating how even tempered, smart, and diligent he was. He also made me look very good to the family bar: multiple attorneys would stop me at events gush about how great he was and how much they enjoyed having cases in front of him. I've known Jorge as an attorney, judge, colleague, and friend. I can say, without reservation or embellishment, that he's amazing in each of those roles.
