Sorry for the very long review but i feel it's necessary to say everything No apology will be enough to make up for the hardship this law firm has caused my mother and me. Maybe its unfair to blame the entire firm, the main issue is with Crystal Cardenas. Last week my mother was let go from her job because her work permit expires next month. This whole situation is because Crystal Cardenas does not know what she is doing. She misinformed us about an automatic renewal  of our work permits which is shocking, since this is her job. We trusted her and our paperwork was submitted much later than it should have been. On around September 3rd, Crystal called me in the morning to say that both our receipt notice and work permit extension had arrived. About three hours later, she called again to say that out visa category does not qualify for an extension, even tho she reassured us multiple times that we did and that it would only take 4-6 to get the renewal and it now turns out it takes 8.5 months. When I confronted her about this contradiction, she responded with a nasty, condescending attitude, telling me, “You should have read the paperwork"  Maybe I should have but by that point, it would have been too late to fix anything anyway. When I told her, “No, this is why I hired you,” her attitude only worsened. I truly wish these conversations had been recorded, because Crystal presents herself as polite and professional, yet behaves very differently when confronted. As I write this, my mother, a single mother of two, is selling and throwing things away so she can leave her apartment. She lives paycheck to paycheck, and now she is being forced out of her home because of this negligence. Today, December 15th, I was also let go from my job due to the same issue. Thank you, Crystal Cardenas. The solution James provided was not helpful either. James left me a voicemail regarding my father’s case, stating that he had a few questions. When I returned his call, it sounded like I was on speakerphone and there was a lot of echo, and the audio was very bad and I could barely hear him and only caught bits and pieces of what he was saying. His questions were the same as in the voicemail, I put two and two together and answered as best as I could. I then told him that I was having trouble hearing him. His response came across as accusing me of lying. He said something along the lines of, “Well, you’re answering my questions, so I think you can hear me just fine.” I was genuinely confused by this response. I had no reason to lie. At this point, the lack of professionalism and empathy has been extremely disappointing. Crystal gets to keep her job with a stable income and my mother and i will be left struggling and hoping our work permits come soon.

They left me with a hospital debt of over $10,000. When I first went, they promised me $30,000. Before, they would fight the case; now, they only see their own benefit. Save your time and money. I ended up with a bigger debt because they didn't fight for my salary during the time I couldn't work due to my work injury. I definitely don't recommend them.
