I reached out to Matern Law seeking a consultation regarding a potential wrongful termination after seeing their positive reviews, but my experience did not reflect what was advertised. Karim, who initially contacted me to gather additional information, was difficult to reach by phone and text. He also called multiple times outside of normal business hours, which I found inappropriate. After we scheduled a follow-up call for 12:30 pm the next day, I did not receive a call at the agreed time and was unable to reach him despite multiple attempts. This was especially stressful because I had a hard deadline to sign a severance agreement with my former employer. ** UPDATE** To his credit, Karim did call later that evening and apologized for the delay in communication. He was kind, empathetic, and professional during our conversation. Unfortunately, the firm was ultimately unable to assist me because they primarily focus on EEOC and discrimination-based wrongful termination matters, and my situation did not fall within that scope. I wish I had known earlier in the process that their practice is limited in this way, as it would have saved valuable time while I was under a strict deadline. While I appreciate Karim’s eventual follow-up and professionalism, the repeated delays in communication over a two-week period created unnecessary stress during a time-sensitive legal matter. Additionally, there appears to be no reliable way to reach anyone else at the firm. The main office number listed publicly routes to a Google phone line with no live person answering and no voicemail option available. I called multiple times and waited on hold, only to be unable to leave a message or speak with anyone. If you cannot reach the initial point of contact, there is effectively no alternative channel to communicate with the firm, which is deeply concerning when dealing with urgent legal matters.
