Very poor communication and management. I scheduled an appointment with the office 3 weeks out and it was confirmed. I get a call the morning of the appointment that they need to reschedule to another day because they had another “meeting.” Office staff didn’t seem confident on the phone either

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I reached out to the lawyer about taking my case back in June 2025. It’s now February 2026 and I haven’t had any communication from the lawyer. Each time I call, the receptionist says she’s not in office and makes up excuses as to why she isn’t answering. I would think after a few months, you could at least reach out with updates. Don’t make the fatal, annoying headache of a mistake I did by choosing her to represent you. Lots of other lawyers out there that won’t see you as a bother and won’t ignore your calls and emails.

The receptionist was wonderful in trying to help me understand and walk me through the process the Jenifer Elkins as an attorney is horrible!!!!!! My case was completed however I would receive last minute information and the communication with the lawyer was AWFUL!!!!!! This was so much more confusing than it had to be. Found this office through my work insurance and was constantly told of new fees I would have to pay when that wasn't the case. Doesn't seem to care much about her clients!!

Used by legalease through work to find them. Took months to get any sort of response- no exaggeration months between emails. I am still waiting to get anything accomplished that I asked for. I feel very taken advantage of.

Attorney Elkins was absolutely amazing in handling our traffic ticket. She was professional, knowledgeable, She made the process stress-free and achieved a great outcome for us. We truly appreciated her dedication and prompt communication. Highly recommend Attorney Elkins to anyone needing legal representation for a traffic matter!

Save yourself from being embarrassed. Poor hygiene and terrible lawyer.

Terrible attorney for family law. Has no interest in child's best interest, ignores common sense, and puts children in danger.

Horrible customer service, never calls back, never follows through, lies when confronted with their shortcomings, and doesn't honor their contract with Legal Aid Service. Would give zero stars if possible and wouldn't recommend to an enemy.

They were timely getting back to us. That was not the case with several other attorneys we contacted. They communicated well. They were knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommend.

I had a case opened for name change with this law firm in November, 2024. After paying court fees, process server fees (which I didn't know in beginning that other party would need to be served until AFTER I paid court fees), and having fingerprinting done, I was told last week there was nothing else that can be done other than paying more money for skip tracing since other party cannot be served. Skip tracing would have been pointless because the address I gave them was accurate (out of state address). I advised the staff in 2024 that the other party may not be able to be served or very difficult to serve based on my previous experience. However, I was told over the phone that other methods could be taken to assure my case moved forward. I was told last week I can wait a couple more months and I would not need to serve other party since my child will be 18. Why wasn't that told to me before wasting my money and time???? I was very displeased with the communication which probably answers that question. Throughout my case, I called and left a voice message trying to get an update on my case since the court date was two weeks prior. I finally got a returned call five business days later with bad news. The only time I was called was in reference to paying money and when I did pay, they couldn't locate the Zelle payment on their end and they called me about that. Additionally, communication through email was not the best and I honestly feel was not read most times. In fact, I last requested (via email) all documents filed to the court be emailed to me for my own record and still haven't received them. I also gave them an email address for the other party as a last resort for serving papers, but they never replied to email. Instead, they went ahead and dismissed my case. Overall, it was a very ill-advised, frustrating experience. I am seriously contemplating making a complaint through The Florida Bar at this point. I would hate for anyone else to waste their time and money, too.
