I hired this law firm to handle an employment dispute based on their positive reviews, but unfortunately my experience was anything but positive. In hindsight, I would have been better off accepting my severance. After my attorney, Yasmeen, negotiated the settlement, my final payout was actually lower than what I was initially offered. Throughout the process, communication was extremely poor. I frequently had to reach out myself every few months just to get a status update on my case. By the time I realized the situation wasn’t progressing, my EEOC right-to-sue window had already expired. I felt that Yasmeen continued to string me along during this time, which ultimately prevented me from seeking other legal counsel before that deadline passed. In the end, the only party that seemed to benefit from this situation was the law firm. For me, it was a frustrating experience and ultimately a complete waste of my time.
