Attorney Chatterton is a WONDERFUL lawyer. My husband and I have used him for multiple situations and I’d recommend him to anyone!!! He is very clear/straight forward with you about everything, he makes sure to keep you updated and informed In a very timely manner, he always works toward the best possible outcome for your situation and his assistant is so nice and informative. 10/10 stars!! I recently retained Attorney Chatterton for two different cases. These cases for the complexity and content matter most attorneys wouldn't want to touch with a 10 foot pole. Attorney Chatterton heard facts, went over the the substantial mountain of evidence and documentation presented and set to work. Was able to get an order of protection extended on one case and my child out of horrific immediate danger very quickly. His due diligence and integrity is way beyond that of any attorney I have ever met. Honorable is not a word I'd often associate with litigators but Attorney Chatterton embodies that. Him and his office staff are incredibly professional and great to work with. I have yet to see him fight in court but with two upcoming hearings I will be happy to update after I do have him represent me here soon. I have heard he is fierce in the court room and I would not want anyone else to be fighting for my baby or I, especially given the gravity of the situation. He is a well connected attorney who knows the law. He doesn't need to resort to questionable tactics or insults. He uses his intelligence and knowledge of law to get the job done. After a not so great experience prior I am so happy I found this firm. He and Tracy make me feel like we are finally safe and like we have an army ready and willing to stand and fight behind us. If you are browsing hundreds of reviews for all of the local lawyers like I did, pining to ensure you make the right choice, stop at this one. You won't regret your decision. Attorney Chatterton is the attorney you want to fight for you. I'll update my review after my upcoming hearing to add my experience with representation during a hearing. But again, if you need a sign it is this, retain Mr. Chatterton. Best decision I have made in the last 3 years regarding these matters. So I just realized I never updated my review. I have had at this point attorney Chatterton physically represent me in court on several occasions. He fights and he fights hard but he also fights with honor and dignity and by the law. I recommend listening to him because he does know what he is talking about and he will fight for you when the time comes and when he knows the law supports it. He especially cares about the welfare of children, stays child focused, and is a physical strength next to you in court. I would not want anyone else representing my little baby girl. I know he will fight for her. It might feel frustrating at times because he doesn't do exactly what you want but he's doing what he knows will win and what is supported by law and if you ask he will help you with advice. I cannot thank him enough for all he has done for me and for my daughter so far and for what he continues to do and for the fight I know he will put up for her. He is fierce in the courtroom and intelligent as a whip and a domineering presence. His extensive history in law practice very apparent in the courtroom. He is exactly who you want representing you and your children. I am so glad that I found him and his firm.

Liked him at first but then he tried to get us to get give a portion of how much it cost to have the insurance to build an accessible home. That would've made us get a lesser house. Beware

I am very pleased with my experience working with Attorney Chatterton! He is honest, knowledgeable, hardworking, and dedicated to ensuring a fair outcome for his clients. Attorney Chatterton represented me through a long and contentious divorce and custody process. He was honest and straightforward from our first interaction, explaining the legal process and likely outcome based on his extensive experience. The end result was better than I had hoped for, Attorney Chatterton underpromised and overdelivered.

You have to appreciate a lawyer that looks after women, but professionalism is also important. He’s completely reactive and unmovable in negotiations . Long drawn out Divorce cases. does not facilitate the following of agreements. Does not deal in facts. Cannot keep a client in line. Of course, opinions are opinions. Mine may be skewed from 3 1/2 years of dealing with him and going through multiple lawyers in the process. My recommendation if you’re looking for attorneys in Genesee County is to look elsewhere. I believe they’re colluding together to create larger bills for clients through the whole system. Go in there with a good Oakland County attorney or possibly Livingston.

Patrick Chatterton is an amazing lawyer. Hes patient, and understanding of your situation. He does everything he can to do whats in your best interest. He fights for present fathers and our rights when no one else will. Above and beyond, I will never go with anyone else. 10/10 you will not be disappointed

I leave Patrick, as a a professional, a plus one. His disgustingly rude, arrogant, and downright disrespectful “secretary” AKA his wife, gets a negative four. How dare you ask for a paper trail of where of where your money went and/or asking for your account balance before agreeing to any further services. In the course of five months, I inquired about my balance four times. The same answer every time “ your profile still needs to build and update in order to give you that balance.” Should have been a huge red flag after the second time I asked and received the same answer. After weeks of contemplation about how I should move forward, I called this morning to let them know I decided to go it alone this time due to having a successful day in court yesterday without needed Patrick’s help. Tracy instantly copped a snide attitude, and tried to hang up on me. I was able to keep her on the line just long enough, to express my extreme concern about my balance, for the FIFTH time. This resulted in a flat LIE, stating that she never told me I owed them more money, that any underage from my last retainer will be refunded (of course the amount could not be provided until my profile is reviewed and finalized) and that they wish me the best of luck. How are you going to ask for another $1500 two weeks ago, to now refunding an underage? literally have a transcribed voicemail that clearly states another $1500 would be needed prior to they next court date. That this would cover any overage OR UNDERAGE THAT MAY BE. Like I’m foolish enough to hand over another decent some of money, when you have yet to provide one single invoice/account statement. Anyone with half a functioning brain can clearly see that they Have no actual clue and obviously care so little for their clients that they can’t even keep their books up to date. If you are looking for an attorney with stellar Google reviews, zero professionalism, zero courtesy, zero care, zero integrity , zero accountability, and zero respect from “office stafff” this is the place for you.
